DTSV can assist you in defining the requirements and objectives needed for a new project, make recommendations for hardware and software to be used on the projects, or provide projected cost and ROI information for new initiatives.
- Support. DTSV can provide support with your new software or hardware product, including the creating of custom training programs and facilitation of programs that track the performance of new programs and recommend possible adjustments to those programs.
- Form Design. When new forms must be created or existing forms can be redesigned, any chance to influence their layout can have a great impact on processing cost. DTSV knows the aspects of form design that are critical to the ability to quickly and accurately prep, identify, and perform data capture on these forms. For large scale printings, DTSV knows how to create easily modified, exacting form designs for the form printers. DTSV can also work with a pool of third party software products in order to define and evaluate compliance with the requirements necessary to reproduce a form faithfully, even with elements like registration marks and 1D and 2D barcodes. DTSV can also create custom forms (such as bar-coded separator sheets or forms containing index information) both off site and during processing.
- Workflow. Documents have a variety of needs once they have been imaged. DTSV has the knowledge and experience to guide you through the selection, integration, and extension of both COTS and customized workflow solutions. DTSV can tailor the workflow to the needs of your organizations and the requirements of the imaging project to provide for both human and non-human interactions with the documents that have been captured. Images can be routed to the correct personnel for Image Quality review, Content Review, Data Perfection, Signature Approval, Annotation, or any other need our customers may have. Custom applications can be built, or pre-existing applications can be integrated into the new system to obtain data from the forms or to include additional data with them. The route of a document once in the system can be determined from data that is collected during it’s lifecycle, and we can provide the facility required to monitor, report on, and change the status of objects in the workflow.
- Electronic Filing. The quickest way to get information is from an electronic source. DTSV knows the intricacies involved in defining the requirements for an electronic filing system. DTSV can work with other vendors to define an interface with an Electronic Filing system. DTSV can also help to integrate these electronic records into a Document Processing system, so that the logic involved in perfecting the data on your paper forms can be leveraged in insuring the integrity of your electronic forms. We can also perform the transformations necessary to bring data from legacy systems into your Content Management solution.
- Barcode Processing. The use of 1D and 2D barcodes in forms can be a quick way to decrease the time it takes to process forms and increase the quality of the data on those forms. DTSV can help walk you though the process of bringing barcodes into your organization, choosing the right kinds of barcodes to use, adhering to industry recommendations as to how the data should be formatted, and how to work with third party software vendors to facilitate creation of the barcodes on their forms.
- OCR/ICR. To truly have your paper content augment any form of Content Management, the relevant data on the form must be extracted into a format that is useful. Whether it is full page recognition for unstructured forms, targeted recognition for structured forms, or anchor/target recognition for forms that are semi-structured, DTSV knows how to unlock the data on the images you collect. DTSV also knows how to apply both technology and personnel to perfect the data collected through these methods. DTSV can help you analyze your documents to obtain the most accurate data from them. DTSV can also advise you on ways to evaluate the effectiveness of your current OCR and data collection process and target ways to increase performance. DTSV can advise you on the different ways to perform data correction on OCR data, from data-secure methods of correcting just characters or portions of a field, to in context examination of the data collected to make sure all business rules are followed, to QC reviews of the output for maximum data perfection. DTSV can also provide methods of determining the effectiveness and cost of the methods you currently have in place, and make suggestions about how an increase in accuracy would be best achieved. DTSV can also help in the evaluation of a number of current industry leading OCR products to determine which product would make the most sense for your needs.
- Exporting. Once the images and data have been created from the paper, they must be stored in a system that will provide Records Management facilities. DTSV can help in getting the information from your Document Processing system into your Records Management system, through configuring COTS solution interfaces Filenet or Documentum solutions, or through helping to define the data conditions that can interfere with the transfer to those systems.
